1. And the hardest part is that it wasn’t a conscious choice. It’s not like I woke up one day and was like, “Damn, working myself into a stress frenzy sounds awesome. LET’S DO THAT.” And yet, here we are. Honestly, I think a lot of it stems from the fact that stress has become the thing for so many of us to brag about. There’s a weird, sick pride that comes from being “so stressed out,” because somehow, “stress” has become culturally synonymous with “busy and important.” Now that I think about it, though, I’m starting to feel like “stress” is more accurately synonymous with “not good at managing one’s time/priorities/ability to say no to shit.” And really, who’s impressed with that?
